Rwanda - Day 9 Second Stop - lunch! When we travel with Melanie, she always has an itinerary sketched out weeks in advance - and it's always good! She pays attention to detail, works in flexible options, and knows her audience - she's a stellar diplomat for a reason! The meals are an integral part of the travel experience - she picks out restaurants with good food and drinks, local or unique cuisine when possible, and knows where to find a good view! Bonus: Paul's apartment in Kigali has a balcony with a nice view and lots of birds, so meals at home were just as exciting and Jason could work on the puzzle too!Image
Through our meals in Kigali, we drove through different parts of the city, enjoyed views of the capital under construction (modernization!), and participated in lively conversations over yummy meals and drinks! Let me know if you need recommendations in Kigali - I've got some!
Our friends are wrapping up their posts in Africa and returning to our area for their next adventure, so we look forward to sharing our world (circus of 6 in suburban DC) as well as DC city fun with them in the short term. And all of us (kids want to go next time) are looking ahead to future posts in far off places - we love exploring the world with friends!
